Hi guys, well most of you know I was trying out a new product by ATP Science. This product had raving reviews straight up, and many different symptom scenarios, so I figured I'd give it a go. The product claims... WHAT WILL GUTRIGHT DO FOR ME? - Will modulate gut bug ratios - Dysbiosis, SIBO, leaky gut wall, allergies and intolerances
- Support immune
- Aid liver and detoxification pathways
- Reduce inflammation
- Reduce insulin resistance
- Support healthy metabolism
- Prevent and correct fatigue disorders
- Eliminate brain fog and aid mental clarity
- Improve physical and mental performance
- Correct firmicute: bacteroidetes (kill of excess firmicute and increase deficient bacteroidetes)
I have intolerances to many different things, and have digestion issues so anything that might help is worth trying. Especially when its all natural!
The Gutright protocol is 10 days of a diet, and taking the powder 3 times a day. The taste is ok, but not really my thing, luckily you can take it with honey! So after my first scoop i then mixed it in the tiniest bit of hot water to dissolved the powder then added a teaspoon of honey, this made it bearable to take.
After the 10 days you then just need 1 scoop each night.
The other thing a lot of people noticed was weight lose, and less cravings...now I certainly have a little I could lose right now but it wasn't a focus. Starting weight was 60.4kg and my finishing weight (on day 11) was 58.3kg. and I am certainly not craving food as much as I use too. That is a bonus because I work from home a lot so snacking really is way too easy.
Ok so now we get a bit personal so if you don't want to know the good, the bad and the shitty (pun intended) then stop reading here.... otherwise here is my 10 days!
6.30am- up (waiting till I get to work to take my first scoop, I'v heard lots of stories about people farting lots on the first few days, then you poo lots so lets not take it before hoping in the car first time lol)
7.30am- 1st scoop with water, on an empty stomach ( I fast 16:8)
8.15am- first poo, was really normal and I would normally poo at this time, so I had nothing to worry about here.
9.30am- finished 1l of water. Started 600ml of water/apple cider vinegar.
10am- Ate 100g chicken
500ml water before 12
12noon- 60g rasp 60g strawberries
1pm- 2nd Scoop of GR with 1tsp honey and a drop of hot water... easier to drink then just water for sure! I'll be doing this every time now!
(A few burps, nothing major, but certainly more then normal, I don't actual burp much normally)
2.30- veg n egg slice (recipe on insta)
(Some stabbing pain, almost a bit constipated feeling, went away after about an hour)
Really bloated, haven’t been hungry all day, but forced down some food. Think I am just tiered though, haven't has enough sleep.
Day 10- ANZAC DAY
5am- 600ml water
6.45- 1st scoop
7am- Bacon n eggs, not feeling sick today but still full.
7.30am- Normal poo, same odd smell but not as strong
12- 100g Chicken
6pm- Chicken, carrots, zucchini
little bit farty but not smelly
9.45pm- good size poo, not bloated
Protocol is finished, woke up, normal poo time in the morning, tummy feels great. Will slowly add foods back in.
Key things I noticed, defiantly not very hungry through any of it. Was constipated for a good half of it. Poos were all soft and came out easy when they came out. Energy levels were slightly elevated.
I didn't take any allergy medication throughout, still a little itchy at times but slept better then I do normally.
I will continue to take this product nightly and see how we go. No regrets taking it, but not as many systems as I was expecting (which might be a good thing, I was imagining myself running to the loo lots of clearing rooms with farts lol).
